Battlestar Galactica has many characters with tattoos, which I think is cool. I'd like to quote Helo from the Season Three first episode:
"One of the first things they taught us at the academy was that symbols matter. Uniforms, flags, banners, even mascots. They're like pieces of your heart you can look at."
That struck a chord with me about tattoos. I just got tattooed last night after taking the whole summer off. Silly me, all sentimental. Haha.
